It generally happens when you install Dev C and try to compile a cpp file in Windows 8/8.1 or in Windows 10, a windows pops-up saying that g has stopped working. Bloodshed Dev-C is a full-featured Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for the C/C programming language. It uses Mingw port of GCC (GNU Compiler Collection) as it's compiler. Dev-C can also be used in combination with Cygwin or any other GCC based compiler.

Jan 03, 2020 Select: Workloads → C build tools. Install options: select only the “Windows 10 SDK” (assuming the computer is Windows 10). Optionally, if you want to use MSVC cl.exe C/C compiler from the command line, additionally select the C build tools, which takes an additional 2 GB disk space. G is the GNU C compiler, right? Well I don't know how to fix this or if the problem will be fixed in later updates to Dev C, but do you guys have any ideas as to what the solution might be? Also, since I am just a beginner, I probably won't understand any complicated answers so please try to keep it as simple as possible.
